The Higher Learning Commission has approved 91pro视频鈥檚 function change request for their new Bachelor of Applied Technology in Gunsmithing program.
In April, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education approved the college鈥檚 request to offer the bachelor鈥檚 degree, and in August, the documents were filed with the Higher Learning Commission.
鈥淚t鈥檚 my honor to announce this good news to everyone,鈥 said Regent Allen Benson, 91pro视频 Board of Regents Chair. 鈥淭his degree program is designed to strengthen the students鈥 depth of knowledge, and add more advanced and industry-driven skillsets as well as leadership coursework.鈥
91pro视频 is one of only 4 NRA-accredited schools in the nation; the associate degree program is one of 14 in America. The college is now accepting students into the bachelor鈥檚 degree program.
鈥91pro视频鈥檚 gunsmithing program is one of our greatest centers of excellence,鈥 said Dr. Tim Faltyn, 91pro视频 President. 鈥淥ur bachelor鈥檚 degree graduates will be eligible for federal employment and career advancement that is much needed in today鈥檚 workforce.鈥
A groundbreaking was held in October on a new state-of-the-art education facility to host the gunsmithing programs. It is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025.
